I think this is the solution for you. Our plugin does not directly allow you to do text searches of individual Post Meta (custom fields) and Taxonomy (Category, Tags and Taxonomies) data/terms. The Search & Filter Pro Text Search field uses the standard WordPress search, so looks only in the Post Title and Content. To help you control this better, on the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.
The documentation for this is here:
You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.
Then set Relevanssi up and build its index (make sure it is indexing the desired post types, custom fields AND any taxonomy that you want to search).
This solution might also be needed if your theme is changing how the WordPress text search works.Trevor Moderator in reply to:
Best solution to convert Taxonomy list into a mobile menu(Private) December 2, 2020 at 11:50 am #268507
1. This is not possible from with our plugin. It would need to be a feature available in your theme, a page builder plugin, or a plugin designed to do this. But, you may not have more than one instance of the form, and the form still needs to be in the source HTML when the page loads, and not loaded on demand as the Filter button is clicked (so it would be in a hidden block that is then revealed or slides in).
2. Only if the search is of a single Post Type (or, in the case of WooCommerce, both Products and Variations can be searched together) AND the form is set to use the Post Type Archive method (or the WooCommerce method).Trevor Moderator in reply to:
Different layout(Private) December 2, 2020 at 11:43 am #268502
I see. It is possible make many layouts, using CSS. Careful use of media queries to make it responsive, and then use of float, inline-block, columns, flexbox and css grid can yield almost any layout. But, in terms of drag and drop designer, you are correct, we do not yet have that for the form. Each persons needs/design would be different, so very difficult to cater to.
