    Thank you Trevor!

When I get to the widgets page from elementor, do I use the search and filter widget at the bottom, or do I use the Sidebar widget with the WooCommerce tag?

Before I dig in, can you see and follow the guidance in this post:

    Hi there,

After updating WordPress, WooCommerce, and various plugins on a staging site, the Accordion + and – icons seem to be missing on the S&F Search Form… Any clues?

    Thank you,

    Hi there,

On several websites we successfully use the S&F plugin, but now we have a problem with rebuilding the cache on a new woocommerce shop. It says:

    Error: Unable to cache posts

Something prevented the caching process from running, you can try again by selecting rebuild cache.

When i click that button, nothing happens and the message still shows up. I also tried to change the caching speed to low, but that doesn’t work.

The woocommerce shop is pretty big, it has 16.000+ products. How to solve this caching problem with big amounts of products?

    Thanks!

If you are using Elementor Pro, you need to use our extension for it, which can be installed after clicking the big blue button (you need to be logged in to see it) at the top of the guide page (to download the installation file):

    https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/

Note towards the end of that guide, which shows how you can set the form to WooCommerce Shop.

Make sure that Product Category is in the form (even if you use CSS to hide it), and …

    1. Set autodetect category/taxonomy:

    https://www.screencast.com/t/3B40jPYRF4SA

    2. And also set ‘Enable filtering on Taxonomy Archives’:

    https://www.screencast.com/t/piCPyshb6

Then you can use the same form on all category pages.

I am using Elementor to design product category pages in my Woocommerce store. I am using the “Posts” wisget to display them rather than “Products”, but I think I would have the same problem if I was using “Products”.

On the category page, I have 2 “Posts” widgets with products. One of them is at the top under the heading “Products in stock” and the other is at the bottom under the heading “Available for backorder”. The idea is that I first want the customer to see products that are in stock but if he scrolls down through all of the in-stock products and doesn’t find what he was looking for, he will be able to look at the products with “available for backorder” stock status.

What I want to achieve is that there is only one filter at the top, but it will be applied to both Elementor widgets. At the same time, I want the first widget to only show in-stock products and the second widget to only show available-for-backorder products. Is this possible with your plugin?

I am using Elementor and Woocommerce and your plugin for combining Elementor with S&F Pro. I am using your plugin to filter products in product categories. What if I want to use the same filter in 10 different product categories? A typical example of this would be a price filter. The plugin is asking me to provide the URL of the results page, but each category has a unique URL.

Does this mean I have to create a separate filter for each category? This would mean creating 10 identical filters, which is a lot of work.

    3) Would require there to be a custom field where it indicates if a product has a sale price. I am not sure WooCommerce has such a field. It has the actual Sale Price, but that is not the same thing. It could, I suppose be done with a range field set as a radio button (where the options could be All Items and Sale Items), with some modifications, but only as long as the Sale Price is not being used as a filter elsewhere in the form.
    4) That would require custom CSS, but you would need to explore that yourself, as it is not something that would be within the scope of our support, sorry. There are some snippets on our forum:
    https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/search/data+form+sf+id+searchandfilter
I do sometimes provide these, if I have the available time (which I do not at this time, sorry) and publish them for others to see.
    5) As above, that can most likely be done, with custom CSS.
    6) It should work, but some other JavaScript may be interfering. Looking at that screenshot, the Ajax Container is probably wrong for WooCommerce, which usually has .products for its Ajax Container.

In general, are you showing Out of Stock items in WooCommerce (the catalog) or hiding them? S&F supports the “out of stock visibility” setting in WooCommerce
