Hiring somebody to get stuff done(Private) April 1, 2016 at 2:10 pm #41245Hi
You have used just categories and sub-categories, but instead this should simply be different taxonomies (e.g one taxonomy for Recipe, Vegetable, etc) and then in the WP editor these would make category-like meta boxes for the author. Are you using standard post or custom post types?
I am unsure if you can add taxonomies to standard posts, but you can to Custom Post Types. You might want to install the free CPT UI plugin to see if that does this.
You would not need to use ACF for this.

In the form is see that the results template is this
search-filter-results.php
This is one that you made? Using code tags from the editor (see the top button bar) before and after the code, can you paste the contents into a private reply?
I cannot see this template file in the theme editor?

#1 Deactivate all plugins (make a note of which ones you do this to).
#2 Switch to a WP Theme (like 2015)
#3 Activate S&F ProIs the site still working? No? then there is a serious conflict probably at server setup level. Yes, it works?
#4 Switch to your theme.
Is the site still working? No? then there is a conflict with the theme. Yes, it works?
#5 Start to activate one plugin at a time (making sure all are up-to-date before activating). after each one is activated, test the site. Once a plugin has passed this test, leave it activated. If the site will not load after activating a plugin, you can deactivate it by renaming the plugin’s folder, e.g. revslider might be renamed to OLDrevslider. Go to WP Admin Plugins page and you will get a notice to say the plugin is deactivated. After that, go back and rename that plugin’s folder back to normal again.
#6 Try this until you have checked each plugin. Then come back and post here.

I would ask them that. The title on the blog page is not made by S&F at all, it is made entirely in the theme. I would simply ask them if there is a hook or method (other than using a language file, as that would affect other pages as well) to change the title on the blog page, and not mention S&F at all.

Styling Documentation(Private) April 1, 2016 at 10:43 am #41225Hi
Styling is something that we have been discussing here. The key is that you have a theme and the theme will already have style for forms elements, you simply want to apply that to this form, and the easiest way to do that is if we add the ability for you to attach CSS classes to the elements. However, for now the only way to do it is to build your own customs css, and if you want to make that easier, a plugin called so-css (free) can help.

Looking in the admin has not resolved this but I can see that this is a theme from Cherry Frameworks, #49465 (Oblia):
http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/49465.html
It is possible that the theme is not using standard hooks to make the page, and this is why the title is not being changed. If they have tech support, show them the code you are using and ask if it has the correct hooks to work, because they may have a filter to do this.
