I am sorry, I do not understand. What I see in the sidebar is:

A section with from and to (a date filter?)
A section as a tree
Two buttons

That is all I see?

This can happen automatically if you enable auto count in the General options and hide zero (empty) values in each meta object on the form. This assumes that you have correctly organized the data you are filtering. I am assuming that you have separate custom taxonomies for Districts and Regions?

I do not fully understand, so I need to ask a few questions. What is it that you are searching? Search and Filter performs searches on pages, posts and custom post types.

Second question, are you trying to display custom fields, how have you link those CPTs (Movie Genre, etc) to the user?

I read this one last night and didn’t understand, but I think I do now. Rather than have an author select box to use for searching, you want the visitor to be able to simply enter the author’s name in a text search field as though the author’s name is part of the post content?

What can’t show? I notice that when I check any of the boxes there are no results showing? Does this mean you haven’t placed the results shortcode on the page (depending on the display method you are using)?

I have no doubt that it can be done, but I am unsure whether S&F has a code filter/action that allows this, or whether you would need some coding around the shortcode to only place the results conditionally (maybe by examining the url of the page to see if a get query is attached).

Ross may need to answer this, so I will ping him on this query to see if he has any thoughts.
