OK, I made two changes, but I am not sure if they had further consequences, so you need to check.

First, the filename of the custom template I changed to archive.php (was search.php)

Second, I changed the Ajax Container to .mh-main (was #main).

That fixed it! But new problem. I’ve moved the search forms to my sidebar. I’ll do one search, get results; second search (staying on same page of 1st search), hit “Submit” and it loads the page to the proper search but the search forms in my sidebar have disappeared.

Also, is there a way to have the values in the range fields blank? I tried detect values but it’s going to annoy those searching either way, if they have to delete fields to type in something else.

I have enabled Auto Count and also I have shown the count for options so I could see what to expect. Could you try it now?

I am not sure it is possible to make them blank, but it might be possible with custom javascript to make the field select the current value when the focus shifts to the entry box, and thus makes typing easier by replacing the content). You would need to code that yourself or hire a freelancer.

That works. But I really didn’t want people to see the counts, showing them is really the only way for the search not to disappear?

No, you can switch them off, but the problem is that you are not hiding terms for which the count is 0. You have this set in most fields, but not all. Edit each (choices – not range) field and turn the count of, but make sure Hide Empty is ON.

If this is sorted now, am I OK to close the thread for now?

    Yes, thanks!
