So… I am trying to get a basic search field (in a header) to work with a sidebar filter to end up in woocommerce styled pages (the sidebar is not everywhere). Problem one is S&F says I can’t have two different forms that two different forms that use the Woocommerce Shop Display Results option — why not?

In any case, I pretty much got a native search form to work in the header and direct to a woocommerce archive page by redirecting the search to my catalog page which has the sidebar filter. However, it doesn’t work with the sidebar filter. So, I can search, but all the filters ignore the search term.

How can I get the filters to honor (and remember) the query results that the user entered from a WP search? Or how can I have two different forms end up in the same place?

The only thing I can think of would be to add a search to the sidebar and then pre-populate the field with a get_search_query(). But that seems overly hacky to me.

The slider range will be for all products, until you manually change it. The Auto Count can’t change it. I think WooCommerce has an out of stock field, so you might use that in the Post Meta conditions tabs.

I have split this from the other thread:

    https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/woocommerce-product-with-variation-filter-2/

As your issue is most likely different.

You would need to add our form to the template in elementor, and best to do this with a Text element, use the Text edit tab, and paste the shortcode for the form in to that.

It is possible also to use a Shortcode element.

I’m having this same problem, and woul love to have a some help on how to build this fror WooCommerce using Elementor templates.

I’ve checked the “WooCommerce Shop” option on Search & Filter Display Setting tab, but the filter options won’t show up on the product category pages (Built with Product Archive template on Elementor).

    OK, thanks a lot.

Coincidentally, this morning I was doing some test with https://github.com/woocommerce/selectWoo

Yes, the search forms are translated and connected using te ‘custom’ result page (and wp_query).
No, it’s a custom post type, no woocommerce used.

Are the search forms translated? They must be, even if the products are not. Is it WooCommerce you are using?

It is better to make your own thread, with reference to the other post, in this case:

    https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/woocommerce-product-with-variation-filter/

Posts are generally private if the poster is passing information of no relevance to other users or passing private logins or contact details, or site details that are private. It is the nature of this forum that it is used by developers, who would not want to make public details of their clients sites.

My experience is that, whilst a description of a problem often looks like one you might be experiencing, when examined is a different issue.

Note that, the initial post is always public, but follow up posts can be made private.

I will pick this thread up and reply during our work day today (Tuesday).

I am a new customer, trying to find answers to questions I have, and most of the responses I see to questions are “marked as private”…so even if I have the same question as another user, I have to ask the same question again, since I can’t see what his “fix” was.

Never the less, I am trying to do something similar to the question in this post…set up multiple different filter options…like you have on your Demo page (https://demo.searchandfilter.com/movies/?_sf_s=YESTER&_sfm_sfdc_vote_average=0+10).

When I set up the Search Form, I can add multiple fields to the search UI, but rather than show different categories (like the Genre & Production Companies you have on the demo). I can add several taxonomy filters…but they all show the same categories (so referencing your demo I would have three Genre filters, and no Production Company).

My question is, how do you get the different filters to each filter on different categories? You can view my current setup at: https://www.silverscreencollectibles.com/shop/

    Goodday,

I have the following question. I want to make 3 filter options for the 3 different types of option a product is based on. The first option is merk(brand), The second option is model(model) and the third option is bouwjaar(buildingyear).

I was wondering if it is possible that when is choose merk(brand) in my filter all the option without that brand disappear in de the model option and the when I choose a model only the variation for the bouwjaar(buildingyear) is available. It needs to work the same as one the single page select option for een variation product.

My second question is when I choose post_meta as filter option and I want to rebuild it it doesn’t show any filter option. Does some know what’s wrong with this?

The page where I add the filter is( http://autoalarm.buro210.com/temp/ ).

I hope someone know what I can do about it.
