Not getting results anymore(Private) June 16, 2014 at 9:11 pm #1598Hey Neal no worries
I’ve also experienced some issues with using the plugin “Post type switcher”, so I think because a search form is a custom post type that there are some conflicts – I’ll have a look to see if there is anything I can do to the plugin to “insulate” it from other plugins which work with custom post types but doubt there is much!
Thanks

Not getting results anymore(Private) June 16, 2014 at 7:32 pm #1594Hi Neal I had a quick look…
A couple of things I noticed, you hadn’t selected custom template which is recommended for ajax, so I enabled this and submitted and worked ok but it didn’t work with Ajax still.
Can you think of anything that would make this stop working, when did you upgrade the plugin?
To be honest you have quite a lot of other plugins enabled, I would go try to disable all the other plugins and test again, it is quite strange for it to stop working from one day to the next – the way I see it something must have changed in your setup!
Thanks

Taxonomies not saving and post order(Private) June 16, 2014 at 3:40 pm #1588Yup exactly, once you submit the form, with your preferred default sort option, that option will get added to the url – this result url is the url you should use when linking to your search page – linking to this url will load the search results page with the sorting you want applied.

Search Items(Private) June 16, 2014 at 2:06 pm #1585Hi Constantino
I’m still a little confused, do those location etc come with your theme? Are they custom taxonomies?
To add new fields is just like adding new categories:
If you have a taxonomy “destination”, then you can simply type in new destinations on the post edit screen and they will be automatically added to the dropdowns.
For creating your own taxonomies I recommend:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-taxonomy-manager/And for creating custom fields I recommend:
http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/Then you can create any dropdowns etc you wish… but if you want to edit destinations that are already part of your theme, then this can be done very easily as described above.
Thanks

Taxonomies not saving and post order(Private) June 16, 2014 at 12:21 pm #1578I have just noticed you are using salesforce, which uses the same prefix as search & Filter (
sf
) for class names, so it is possible that there may be another conflict somewhere else – where both plugins are using “sf” – I would try disabling this plugin first. Thanks

Taxonomies not saving and post order(Private) June 16, 2014 at 12:16 pm #1577Hi Mark
Looks like your JS is fine,
I’m a bit confused myself, no idea why the forms are not getting saved properly.
If I am not able to access the admin I would recommend the standard course of action for troubleshooting:
- Disable all other plugins to see if there is a conflict
- Test with another theme
- Try on a fresh install (can be locally)
I’ll have a look into setting a default sort order – for now please try the above and let me know the results.
Thanks
