    Hi Trevor
    Search is working fine but when i go to tag/post archive page the VC does not resolve and appears in code.

    Tried everything else…can only think perhaps plugin causing it…….

    Hi Rupert

    This is because VC is not recognising that it is on this page, and so it is not resolving the shortcodes. It does not use the WordPress shortcode system, instead it uses its own javascript method.

    You have two options:

    Create bespoke Excerpts for the pages and place these in the posts excerpt meta box

    OR

    Use our VC Grid display results method, which requires our VC addon plugin, and for you to use the VC Post grid.

    Hi

    Then try adding a bespoke excerpt to one of these posts to see what happens. If, when editing the post, you can’t see the excerpts meta field, it may need to be revealed in the Page Options (a dropdown tab in the top right of the page).

    On this page, is their any OTHER content made by VC? Normally, when I find this problem, this is the fix.

    What I meant was, other than this VC code in the ‘loop’ (where the posts are), is there anything else in the page handled/styled by VC? It sounds like there is. And that didn’t work. 🙁

    That was what I meant, yes. If that does not work to interpret the shortcodes, then I must assume that the something is stopping it. Our VC plugin simply alters the filters that VC used to get the posts. How VC display those posts we do not interfere with.
