    Hi,
    Here’s my situation.

I have a global search (a Search and 3 Taxonomy fields) and in the Results Page I need to display the global Search again along with a couple of Sort Order and Post Meta fields to filter by location and sort by date.

Do I need to create 2 different Search form? Which Display Results Method should I use?
    Thanks!

    Hey Martin

Using two different search forms for 1 results set is not officially supported however there is a workaround.

Create your advanced search page as you normally would – and get that up and running.

Then, create the global search and set ot to display results using a shortcode (in the display results tab).

Then enter the full URL of advanced search results page in the Results URL.

    This should now work 🙂

    Thanks

    Hi Ross,
Thanks for your reply but I wasn’t able to make it work.

Do both search form should use Display results method: Using a shortcode?

I’ve created 2 Search forms with the following settings.

Search Form #1 – Global Search

    • Auto submit form? No
    • Display results method: Using a shortcode
    • Results URL: Search Form #2 URL page
    • Search Form UI: Search, Taxonomy, Submit Button

Search Form #2 – Advanced Search

    • Auto submit form? Yes
    • Display results method: Using a shortcode
    • Search Form UI: Sort order

When I place both Search form in the results page only the SF#2 is working.
When I use the SF#1 and select a taxonomy option doesn’t work either in the SF#2 results page, all of the results are displaying.

    What am I doing wrong?
Let me know if still possible or not,
    Thanks for your help.
