Hi Ross
Just discovered that after I run a filter, for some reason, the title and author url of my EDD Shortcode is rewritten to an incorrect permalink?
Instead of
http://www.site.com/vendor/userI am getting
http://www.site.com/vendor/?_sft_download_category=acoustic/userand the same thing with the product title.
I am not sure what is causing this. I am also using EDD Front End Submissions and Vendd as my template. Could it be the theme/FES or is it something I have overlooked in S&F. I have tried turning off bookmarkable links etc. but nothing changed. It is strange because taxonomy links are fine?
Thanks
Sarah

IF you are using EDD I’m assuming you’ve followed the steps here?
http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/uncategorised/search-results/edd-downloads-shortcode/
I’m thinking it might be an incorrect Results URL settings in the Display Results tab.
Thanks

It sounds like you might have
maintain search form stateenabled? Try disabling this. Thanks

Bingo! That sorted it. Is there any way round this? Seems a shame to have to lose that functionality and for my site it is sort of important. Is there a reason why S&F is rewriting permalink elements in the results container?
Thanks for your time again
Sarah
Ross Moderator(Private) November 20, 2015 at 4:56 pm #30324Hi Sarah
Its certainly odd, but S&F normally adds this stuff to the permalinks – I’m actually going to get rid of this completely and use transients/cookies in an upcoming version so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
I think its probably something to do with a theme or ajax way it works which is causing issues.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) April 15, 2016 at 11:32 pm #42905Hi,
Any word on when the cookie based “retain results” version might come out? I am having an issue with a menu link to my form from the results page – when clicked it retains the search parameters. I need to have that for individual results posts to get back to the search but also need a way to get back to the blank form.Any advice appreciated

I’d still love to know when the next version will be out but I solved my issue with creating the link to a cleared form. Rather thank add the page to the menu the standard way I created a hard coded custom link so it treats it like a new URL.Thought I would add this here in case others had the same problem and can also use this simple solution.
