Search on location with post meta

Hi i’m trying to get filtering on locations to work but it seems that only 1 on 1 location works.

I have posts that have different locations as custom fields. For example 1 post has “Belgium, France and Spain”.

Next I want to search on “Belgium” but that doesn’t work as it only works if the post only has “Belgium” assigned.

Is there a way I could modify the search & filter plugin to look at “containing” locations or to make sure they don’t look for “Belgium, France AND Spain” but that each seperately can be found?

Thanks for your reply!

Hey Kenny

So when a field has “Belgium, France and Spain” assigned, this is one string as you wrote with the comma in?

Or will the post contain 3 seperate values “Belgium”, “France” and “Spain”?

Thanks

Dear Ross,

I use user-frontend plugin to assign different locations to a certain post. Using a checkbox the creator can than check the locations which they desire. For example Belgium AND France. If I use the meta key of location in the search & filter pro and I filter on Antwerp or on France, nothing is visible.

A test site can be found here: http://boekhoudtips.be/

It takes Antwerp and Limburg as: Antwerpen| Limburg

Thanks for looking into it.

Hey Kenny

I only get a holding page when accessing that? Do you have login details?

Ok I changed it. You should now be able to see it.

Do you know a way to search on location when a post has multiple locations assigned ?

Thanks for your help!
