Ross Moderator(Private) February 15, 2016 at 2:06 pm #36983Hey Daniel
This sounds like a permissions issue on your server possibly?
ie, perhaps you uploaded S&F via FTP originally, and the permsissions set on the folder are not correct, so that WP cannot overwrite them.
To test this theory, I would completely delete S&F via FTP.
Upload it via the plugins sections as a ZIP file, and then try and update after this.
Alternatively, you could just do a manual update by redownloading from your account and checking the folder permissions to see if they match.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) February 15, 2016 at 2:07 pm #36984**note – do not click “remove” in the wp-admin plugins page, this will delete your saved search forms.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) February 15, 2016 at 2:14 pm #36986You can use the wordpress exporter to export your saved search forms (S&F forms are just a custom post type), however you shouldn’t need to click remove.
If you disable the plugin, then remove via FTP, it would be a completely safe way to keep your search forms in tact.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) February 15, 2016 at 6:56 pm #37022Ah yes I see the issue.
You are using a single Taxonomy (Portfolio Categories) for 2 different fields.
This is not possible with S&F.
Check out the restrictions: https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/getting-started/adding-new-fields/#Note_Some_Restrictions
And see below that on how to add new taxonomies, for each field.
Thanks
