Search Form UI -> Taxonomy -> "Order Terms by" is not working properly

I have tried picking every one of the options for sorting my taxonomy options that are displayed in a dropdown but none of them seem to work correctly.

I was hoping that if I choose “Default” it would list them in whatever order they are listed in the backend. Is that how it is supposed to work?

I am using a plugin called WP Sort Order to customize the order of these taxonomy options. And I want them displayed in the drop-down in the same order they are sorted in the backend using that plugin.

But I think there are bigger issues considering none of the other sort options seem to work correctly either…

For example, when I have it set to “Count | ASC” it displays most of them in the right order but there a couple in the wrong spots. This is the order it lists them in…

Clearly there is something not working correctly, would you be able to help me figure out what is causing the conflict?

Hi

I am sorry, but I do not have the ability to CC respondents. All replies go to the owner of the account and their registered email address.

It is likely (and is the case with most post/taxonomy ordering plugins, another is Post Types order) that WP Sort Order is not compatible with our plugin. Whilst we do offer automated sorting in the Posts settings tab, we do not offer manually ordering.

If that plugin is disabled, does everything work?
