search form doesn’t seem to work on results page

I am using a drop-down element in my header that contains a simple search form that points to the search.php file of my theme – this works beautifully, however once I am on the result page the form does not seem to work (rather the “first” result stays in place) … any ideas on how I could get around this?

A second question:
I would like to order the results by post type, do you have any advice on this issue?

With regard to Post Type Order, that should be set here in the form setup in your admin:

For the other issue, are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?

As an aside, can I ask if you saw that we have a new support ticket system, which you would find here:

I was wondering if you tried that, and whether you had any difficulty with it?

These support forums will be closing to new tickets today – existing tickets (like this one) will be closed after a month (unless resolved before then).
