    We have a free search box on our site. However if you search for “SLANO” here in the second free search box: http://www.croatiagems.com/villas-apartments/villas-in-croatia/

    It does not bring back this villa: http://www.croatiagems.com/villa-slano-dubrovnik-riviera/ even though it has “slano” in the title.

    It brings back one post with slano in the title and one villa that doesn’t mention slano:
    http://www.croatiagems.com/?sfid=16787&_sf_s=slano

    Does the search use data in the titles of posts? Why would it bring back results that do not contain the search term and miss ones that do?

    Hey Marcus

    The free text search is the exact same as used by WordPress – so this just searches the post title and post body (and I think possibly excerpt).

    Do you have any other code that could interfere with the search? Can you try disabling other plugins and test again?

    I would also do a test for the word “SLANO”, but first, make sure there are no settings under the two tabs: Tags, Categories and Taxonomies and Post Meta

    Incorrect usage of these tabs often causes confusing results, but perhaps a rule there was causing one of your results to be excluded.
