Hello,
I’m a little lost regarding the displaying of the returned data.
The site uses a custom theme (The7), and the data that will be filtered by your plugin is stored as a custom post type (portfolio) introduced by the theme.
For displaying the unfiltered data, I use a theme-made template (it’s called Portfolio – List) and that is exactly how I would like to present the filtered data returned by your plugin instead of the archive layout used by the default search.php
Can you help me with this please?
Regards.
Trevor(Private) October 18, 2018 at 1:13 pm #191243You are using WPBakery Page Builder 5.5.5, so I have a much better method, I think. See this post:

Note that whilst the Post Grid element would appear to be only for Posts, with our plugin it can search any post type, and it also has a layout editor built-in.
Trevor(Private) October 19, 2018 at 12:30 pm #191330Assuming that you had used the setup proposed by me, with:
Our Page Builder Form element
The Page Builder Post Grid ElementAnd our form set to use the Visual Composer Method …
In that scenario, replace the Page Builder Post Grid Element with your portfolio element. Just above that (directly above it), place a Text Element and in that place a shortcode like this (change the ID number
1234
to match that of your form):[searchandfilter id="1234" action="filter_next_query"]
If that does not work, try changing the Display Results method to
Custom
(all else as suggested). -
