Hi,
I just inherited a WP website that uses Search and Filter, so I’m not familiar with the plugin (and not very familiar with the template of the site either :/ ). I’ve been trying to comb through the support pages but haven’t found the answers for my questions, thanks for bearing with me in advance 🙂
So our site had Search and Filter (the not-pro version), but I upgraded to Pro for the Ajax features. The regular version and the pro-version are displaying results differently. With the original, the results displayed much like they do on our category pages:

Also—as you’ll see on the search page, the options appear as a long column, but I would like to format it in columns. Is that possible?
Ross Moderator(Private) January 29, 2016 at 7:09 pm #35747If you are coming from S&F free then yeah there are a few differences.
The best place to start would be to setup S&F in archive mode, this is pretty much the closest thing to get setup:
Check the display options:
http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/And specifically the page about setting up archive:
http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/search-results/as-an-archive/Then the idea is to figure out what template was being shown before for your results, and set that as the custom template filename, probably something like
search.php,category.phporarchive.php.I would also recommend to disable ajax for now while you ensure everything else is working correctly.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) January 29, 2016 at 8:07 pm #35764If you enter a “slug” under display results tab, then you will see the URL the search page is accessible from.
Either:
yoursite.com/?sfid=23423
Or if a slug is entered, then it will be:
yoursite.com/your-slug/
Thanks
