Hello,

Right now my results keep displaying more than what the search term is. How do I restrict the results to only those related to what is being typed in the search?

Also – I was wondering how I could display the excerpt? I am currently using the shortcode display method.

Please note that we are now into a holiday period in the UK. We will be working for some of this period, but replies may be delayed at times.

If you are using the shortcode method, by default it should be showing the excerpt.

Are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?

If you want to search for a phrase rather than the words, you need to install the free Relevanssi plugin, see here:

https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/relevanssi/

There is a setting in Relevanssi to change the search so that it searches for the phrase, I think.

BUT check that the screenshot shown matches what you see.

You will need to rebuild the cache (edit a form and click the button top right to do this).
