It will say in the name, yes, in the plugin list.

As to the question, are you using the ‘As an Archive’ method? I ask because this uses theme’s own templates, so that behaviour would be the theme doing that. If you are able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look, I may be in a better position to make some suggestions.

The form I see on that page is from the free version of Search and Filter, not the Pro version?

Is the ‘As an Archive’ method only available with the Pro Version?

If so will upgrading to Pro fix the issue? If it will how do I upgrade safely please? I have already purchased the plugin.

    Many thanks for your help.

Yes, it is. I can only support the Pro version here. You would need to make a new form using the pro version. I would suggest keeping it really simple with just one field to start with. Remove the old form from the site page(s) and place the new form where you need it.

    The documentation is here:

Ok great – will upgrading solve my problem too?

I think I will need to create a new page to test first – can’t really work on the live search page and may need to revert back to it if any issues.

Can both plugins be active on the same site or not?

    Many thanks.

The Pro version isn’t an upgrade as such. It has a different code base to the free version, so searches and forms have to made from new. As such, both plugins can exist on a site together. If you are making a test page, then may I suggest tat the easiest way to start (it may not look great, but you can test functionality easier) with the Shortcode method:

Ok thanks that great – but can you confirm that swapping to the Pro version should solve my problem?

The problem is that …we have a page that searches and filters on a custom post type. The client now also wants a blog page too but when I enter a post in the blog it appears on the search page for the custom post types but only before you enter any search criteria and do a search.

Many thanks again for all your help.
