Possible to change display order of woocommerce product categories?

Hi Trevor,

I’ve got the plugin up and running and am very happy with it’s functionality, however I’m a bit non-plussed as to how the ordering of the product categories works. I’ve selected the id’s to include, but the structure is hierarchical and some categories are children of parents I don’t want to display whilst others are parents and I don’t want to show the children.

Is there anyway to get the plugin to spit out the categories in the exact order I want them shown in without changing the category structure in woocommerce itself? ATM it seems to be prioritising the parents first and then the child categories.

We don’t have a huge amount of products and it would be beneficial if I could just supply a comma separated list for the categories to be shown in.

I am a developer and am comfortable with making changes via the theme functions file if that’s of any help.

Hi Chris

Normally the categories are listed in a-z or z-a order (your choice). If you select the option about hierarchy – children inside parents, it will move them to the right place. Is that what you mean?
