    I made a search and it went to the results page and I cannot see the form to try this for myself?

    Can you switch Ajax off? Either your theme does not support Ajax (I have seen a few) or the loading order of the javascripts on the page is wrong, meaning when our javascript file loads the required jQuery files have not yet loaded.
