Is there a way to limit the taxonomies that show up in a search form, based on their parent taxonomy? I’m building a site with a clothing directory and have different search forms for Men’s and Women’s clothing (Men and Women are custom post type categories), along with separate sub-categories for each.
I’ve been able to limit the results from each form using the code supplied here: https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/limiting-search-results-to-a-specific-category/. I’d really like a way to limit the taxonomy terms that appear on the search form without having to individually add the terms to exclude each one, as it will be upwards of 30-40 terms to exclude.
Hey Jennifer, currently you have to exclude using IDs… I’m thinking of adding an include option as well, so you would only need to list the categories you wish to include which I think is what you are after?
Thanks
Hey Jennifer – this functionality has now been added to the plugin in the latest update 🙂
