Hello, I seem to be having a trouble with my search form. When I select an option under “Status:” the results reload just fine, but when I try to select an additional option under “Job:” it resets the “Status:” option I had selected when the results reload. I’ve tried re-building the option in my form, rebuilding the form, and changing the radio buttons to other options, but nothing seems to be working.
Here is the link to the page with the form on it: http://pennvetwdc.org/training-center/meet-our-dogs/
Thank you for any help.
Ross Moderator(Private) October 27, 2015 at 4:07 pm #28342Hi Monica
It seems to be working fine for me – if I click “For sale” I see the URL update and the dogs update.
Then if I refresh this page, everything stay selected and the correct dogs show again – but the order of dogs is jumbled (the results remain the same).
What you might want to do is set a default sort order (under the “posts” tab).
If you are finding the search form resetting, then it may be a browser issue, can you test let me know which browser you are using, and also try in another browser?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) October 29, 2015 at 8:14 pm #28571I have tried it in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Just selecting the “For Sale” option works just fine. The issue comes up when I try to select an additional parameter after that.
If I select a job it resets the page and changes the url to match that job I selected, but the “For Sale” part resets and I can’t select anything in that parameter anymore any more.
Ross Moderator(Private) November 2, 2015 at 11:53 pm #28784Ahh yes I see the issue!
Basically you are using a categories on 2 fields, however this is not possible.
Please the notes here:
Basically you need to create a custom taxonomy for each field – instructions also at the above link.
Thanks
