Initial Results Order Not Working

Hi There, the filters are working well other than the fact that I have set the default order to be “Title”, but the results seem to be based off of an internalized order instead (neither slug, nor date).

I have tried rebuilding the cache, however it still does not work as expected.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Do the results go in the correct order after a search?

In the initial order, do they appear to be in last created first (or the reverse)?

Do you have any ‘order’ type plugins (like Post Types Order) or do you use any code that uses the WordPress pre_get_posts() function?

I don’t think I have pre_get_posts set up anywhere, however I am using a post types order, but have disabled it, and it is still in the wrong order.

Any suggestions for an overwrite or workaround? I can rewrite the pre_get_posts manually if that would help.

You might also experiment by deactivating other plugins, to see if they are the cause.

Hi Trevor,

I have the same issue and am using the Post Type order plugin to order posts in other area, can I keep the plugin active while using S&F? is it possible to resolve the conflict from the other plugin?
