Incorrect URL created from search form

We have a form with the free version of search-and-filter on this page:
https://tedpenner.com/research/

We purchased the pro version so that we could add filtering on a custom field. But we are having trouble getting it to work. We decided to just duplicate the function of the free form, as a step toward our final implementation, but we can’t even do that.

The problem is with the urls created by the pro form. The old one generated urls like:
https://tedpenner.com/category/allows-independent-discussions,excel-tools/
It’s a nice clean url and the proper page is generated.

We can’t figure out how to make the pro version duplicate this functionality. Please help.

The Pro version needs to use WordPress-like query URLs, and so the ‘pretty’ ones used by the free version are not possible, for now. We are working on the next major version of Pro, V3, and that will bring those types of URLs to the Pro version.
