Forums › Forums › Search & Filter Pro › filtering by category not excluding ID's
Hi, looking like a very promising plugin, can see AJAX loading isn’t working for me, as others, but am aware you’re working on a fix, so happy to wait for that.
The problem I’m having is the following…
I have two main categories A and B, each category has 5 sub-categories A.1, A.2, B.1, B.2 etc…
I then have two additional categories that I want to use to filter the categories pages, this could be, for example BLACK and WHITE.
So, on category A.1 I want to show all posts in A.1 that are also in the BLACK category.
I’ve created a Search and Filter Search Form, with all ID’s for category B and subcategories excluded, which hides them from the front end, but when I filter by BLACK categories, it shows me all posts that are also in category B.
Is it supposed to work this way, or am I doing something wrong? I’d like it to only show posts from categories it’s not excluding.
I hope that makes sense.
Hey Aaron
There was an update pushed last night (v1.2.4) which you should be able to find in your dashboard once you have activated your license.
RE the problem you outline, have you tried changing the “operator” field – “OR” means that results will be shown from all categories, and “AND” means that only posts in all categories will be shown…
Is this what you mean?
Thanks
