    Hello Search & Filter,

Trying to prevent taxonomy items from showing in the dropdown if the items don’t exist in the category.

    An example. . .

We have our taxonomy filters set to “Hide empty terms” in the plugin settings:
    hide-empty-terms-search-and-filter

As I understand it this would hide the terms if they are “empty”. Which makes me think. . . if the terms are not applied to any posts within the results we have “included” in our results? Or if the terms are empty overall?

We limit the results to only a specific category, in this example “Film”:
    include-only-film-category

But on the dropdown, we get a lot of Directors that are not in the “Film” category.
    directors-filter-showing-all

And if we do a search on a Director that is not included on a title we get the empty page:
    empty-results

Trying to not include taxonomy terms that will return zero results. Are we on the correct path, or is it done somehow else?

Thanks for your support! Loving the plugin so far 🙂

    Hi

As well as Hide empty, you also need Auto Count ON (both settings):

Is that what the issue is?

    That fixed it!

    It was the

and also calculate which options to hide in your tag, category, taxonomy & post meta (choice) fields.

    text that I somehow missed.

    search-and-filter-auto-count

Awesome Trevor. Thank you so much.
