Displaying media results with thumbnails

I’ve just upgraded from the free version of Search & Filter — great plugin by the way, clean and one of the only search plugins I could find that offers a multiple chekbox option whilst not having an overly complicated control panel (handy for a non-coder like me) — as I was hoping to resolve an issue with the way my photo album search displays results. However, I’m finding I’ve got the same bug!

After hitting submit the images are lost in the results. Also, the lightbox and layout format from my ‘Easy Photo Album’ plugin is also lost as it reverts back to the ‘Minamaze’ default theme results display. The strange thing is, if you run a normal WordPress keyword search, the results are displayed within Easy Photo Album including the lightbox.

Is there a way to have the Search & Filter results display the same as the regular WordPress results display? i.e. within Photo Album with lightbox?

Some info that might be useful: Together with Easy Photo Album I’m using a plugin called ‘Enhanced Media Library’ which allows me to include media categories which I assign to the image within the album. I’ve selected this ‘Media Categories’ only within the Search & Filter ‘Search Form UI Taxonomy’ drop down to make sure S&F only throws up results from the album.

*UPDATE

I’ve now installed a plugin called ‘Get The Image’ which has gone some way towards improving the problem – however, although an image is now displayed in the results, it only displays one image at a time. Ideally what I’m looking for is a nice grid display of images or at least a list with one image above the other.

Hi Ross, try this link, select a couple of categories and hit submit – you’ll notice that a single image shows up in the search results followed by a bunch of text. I’m trying to get the images just to show up in a grid. Thanks.

Just an FYI, styling your results is a bit out of scope of support for this plugin however I will give it a go and see if I can point you in the right direction 🙂
