Is there a way to nest filters so that sub-categories are only displayed if the parent category is selected?

Assuming that you had the hierarchical settings enable in the form field settings, it might be possible for you to write some Javascript to do this, but, if a use were to select the parent, thus revealing the children, and then select a child, and then deselect the parent, but leaving the child selected, the child would disappear. So, it is more complex that it first appears.

From within our current plugin settings, what you want is not possible to set, sorry. This may appear in V3, the first version of which should be released in a few months, but I cannot guarantee this feature will be possible, but it is on our radar.
