Archive is not so the posts can be dated (all posts, always are) – but so there is an archive page that lists all those posts:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types#Archive_page
I don’t think this is necessary to be enabled unless you choose the display method “Post Type Archive”.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) February 3, 2016 at 6:56 pm #36143Hello J,
I have been going though much of the same issues. For what it is worth, what I ended up doing is creating one test Search for each individual function until it worked correctly, then I combined them one-by-one. What I discovered is that the Plugin was fine but my sample posts were not complete enough to make everything world well. Also, by doing it this way, I found that I did not follow Russ’s document 100%. More importantly, it is easier to troubleshoot and ask for specific help when needed.
On another note: you asked on my post (here) how I got the theme to have different sidebars. First, site I posted was my client’s competition and not the one I wrote. However, we do have unique sidebars by way of the Widget Wrangler plugin. That said, if all you want are custom or unique sidebars there are far easier plugins. Widget Wrangler is a large animal. I would advise against trying it until you get this issue resolved. WW adds a lot of other variables.
Good luck.

What do you mean when you say
is there a way to stop the Previous and Next from appearing on details?
Do you mean when you click down into a result?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) February 3, 2016 at 9:34 pm #36186This is really then upto the theme.
The pagination is added on (I think)
post.phporsingle.php(at least in the WP themes) and is your themes way of traversing through your posts. Its really got nothing to do with S&F and would always behave like this.I think it takes the order of your post type archive, or blog – which I guess is chronological.
Its does seem like a nice idea though to stick on the roadmap of features to add to the plugin – something which carries the ordering down to the individual pages.
Hope that helps.
Thanks
