Customise search results

Hi,

I have just started to use this plugin so I’m still finding my feet.

I have everything working in regards to the filters I’d like to use and I have set up the search to show the results on the same page using AJAX.

What I’d like to change though is the way the results show up. At the moment it simply shows the featured image, date and title.

Is it possible to customise how these are displayed? For example, in your movie example, you are displaying ratings and other information.

I’m using the Avada theme and they have some really cool ways to display posts but I can’t figure out how I can use these with this plugin.

With Avada, the only way I know to get it to reliably work is to use our Shortcode Display Results method. This gives you a basic layout, but you are free to customise this. The guide to customising is here.

At that point you can then edit this to change the HTML structure, add parts, remove parts, use CSS classes from your theme to style, and so on.
