Custom Results page does not show results unless filters are chosen

Hi there, I tried looking through the forums, but have not found a solution to my problem.

I am using a staging site to build out a new filter for medal of honor recipients, and while the cache is building, my query works, and shows “All results” before a search or filter is selected, but once the cache has completed, the page is empty.

I would like to have all recipients show up in my custom query when people land on the page.

I have Ajax enabled, the ajax container is set to #results_data, and I have turned off auto submit (in case a blank search was being submitted). Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
