thanks for the great plugin, purchased it today. I want to use the search form so that the user can select between posts, pages and 2-3 custom post types via checkboxes. That was pretty easy to achieve and it´s already on the site. Unfortunately i have a problem with the search results. The user has three choices for selecting post types before sending the search phrase: posts, pages and a custom post type (events).
When no option is checked i expect to see results from all post types, but only default posts are shown.
When standard posts and the custom post type are selected i also just get results from standard posts.
Only when just the specific custom post type is selected, i get the right results.
But i need a solution showing results from all post types – either via checking all boxes or when leaving them blank.
I used CPT UI to create the custom post types (https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/) and have the option to show them in the search marked. For creating a custom theme i always start with https://github.com/automattic/_s. I haven´t modified the files responsible for showing the search results.
Is it a problem in my theme´s search.php or with the plugin? I haven´t uploaded my site yet, because it´s still in early development – hope that´s no problem. If you can just check the error when my page is online – please let me know!
