I can tell that they aren’t showing because the products on the site are (generally) only using the child categories, and don’t have the parent category checked. I don’t have a way of resolving this as their products are being imported daily via WP All Import Pro.
You can see this issue happening here:
https://lauriesstage.wpengine.com/product-category/brand/In the search form I have these settings enabled:
General::
Products & Variations checked
30 results per page
Auto submit form checked
AND relationship
Enable & Update Auto Count both checked
Detect Defaults on Tag, Category & Taxonomy Archives checkedDisplay Results::
WooCommerce – Shop
Enable Filtering on Tax. Archives checked
All 3 Ajax options checked, Ajax container set to.products
Pagination type normal, set to.woocommerce-pagination ul.page-numbers li a.page-numbers
Posts | Tags, Categories & Tax. | Post Meta | Advanced::
No changesUnder Search Form UI, I have –
Search
Taxonomy > Product Categories
– dropdown, display count, hide empty terms, hierarchical and include children in parents all checked.
Taxonomy > Product Color (variation)
– checkbox, hide empty terms checked
Taxonomy > Product Sizes (variation)
– checkbox, hide empty terms checked
Taxonomy > Product Width (variation)
– checkbox, hide empty terms checkedThe search form is added into the sidebar as a widget.
If you could help me resolve asap that would be greatly appreciated – this client is not happy that their products aren’t showing correctly before the Holidays.
Anonymous(Private) November 24, 2020 at 7:29 pm #267708I should note that we have a sister site with the exact same setup (except they are not importing products) – the issue is happening on that site as well, just not as noticeable because they are utilizing the parent categories: https://birkstage.wpengine.com/product-category/brand/
Also, I did have WPE disable their killscript (60 second max timeout) while I rebuilt the cache multiple times.
Trevor(Private) November 25, 2020 at 3:18 pm #267791As you are hosting with WPE, and if you have a lot of products, then this post may contain information that might help:
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/woocommece-attributes-not-working/#post-262913
Also, if you are using WP All Import, this post has some code you will need:
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/cache-at-time-interval/#post-264356
This should prevent you needing to rebuild the entire cache after an import.
