I’m thrilled to bits with the plugin so far. It’s managed to do, annoyingly easily, what I’ve been trying to do for about a week, with limited success: get a list of post type specific categories that link to results ONLY for that post type. Pleased as punch! Thank you!
My only gripe at present is the way my results are displayed.
At the moment I’ve selected an input type of multi-select to return a list of my categories: http://radix.org.uk/work/
Is there any way to return them as a simple/basic/bog-standard ul list, instead?
The closest that you can do is to show them as checkboxes. The thing is, the plugin is designed to have form controls and unordered lists are not form controls. I am not sure how you go about selecting an option from a UL either? Should you not wish to show the actual checkboxes, you can hide the with custom css.
Gotcha. The way I’m using it at the moment isn’t as a form, as such, it’s just as a one-click way of filtering posts (auto-load on click – no submit button). The usual way I use UL is to set each list item as an <a href link, but I get that we can’t do that here.
Using checkboxes instead is a great idea! Hiding the boxes themselves should get me closer to what I’m looking for. I’m gonna go and do that now. Super suggestion! Thank you! 😀
