Hi
I feel I have almost figured out how to use this great plugin but I am missing something vital. Do you have an tutorials that might help. Here’s my situation. The theme I am using has a page called archive-rooms.php that filters the custom post type rooms with the taxonomy roomtype. I would like to have dropdowns for # of bedrooms and location of property. For instance the user can chose from the bedrooms and location then submit. However this doesn’t seem possible since the theme only has the taxonomy roomtype. Plus I don’t understand how to display the results on the “find a property” page even though I have specified the archive-room.php that the theme uses to display the filter. Also I put the code in the functions.php file but then the filter stopped working.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you

Ok so I’ve thought a little about what you are trying to do.
It looks like you are in a good position.
So you have your custom post type, with a custom taxonomy, and essentially you want to add some more data to you
roomsCPT ie –location.Well essentially you just need to decide between adding more custom taxonomies or adding post meta.
I think for your use case, taxonomies would be a good start – at least for lcoation –
More info on how to create this here:
Using custom fields/post meta is good for things like numeric data, or dates – the link above also explains how to set them up.
If you check the “post meta” field in S&F, you will see the types of things you can do with post meta data.
Hope that helps
Thanks
