All Posts show up before anything is selected

I created a form by following the Documentation as closely as possible. I”ve kept it very simple:

* Posts only
* Ajax Off
* Standard WP theme
* All other plugins disabled
* Search and results Shortcode on same page
* Display Method: “Using a Shortcut”
* Nothing else changed

I have a situation where ALL the posts display automatically before I even do anything.

Also, every other Display Method displays no results at all.

Hi Scott

It is intentional to display results first- if you take a look at the demos you will find this is the case.

The only thing you could do is to hide the results with CSS, and then display them if a filter is selected in the search form.

You could detect if a filter is selected by checking the docs here:
