Advanced Custom Field is not longer showing on Search & Filter Post Meta

Hi,

I created a couple of ACF fields that required for another plugins Search & Filter. I did this before and S&F can find the ACF automatically from the drop down. However, I am not able to see these ACF fields anymore from S&F post meta. I can still see the old ones I created before but not the new ones.

Wonder if anything else I need to configure to make it work? Thanks!

Note that, with fields made by ACF, when selecting the meta key, note a ‘gotcha’ with ACF ….

… it makes 3 meta keys per field, like this (in this example for a field named ‘land’):

#1 _land
#2 field_52f0fc4334f52
#3 land

In our Meta Key selection list, you need to use key #3, without the underscore at the start of the key name. If you choose #1 by mistake, in the field choices you will see the name of #2.

The fields will only show in the list if you have actually entered data in those fields inside posts and saved them. To define them alone without doing that, they will not show up, as our plugin does not look at the Field Group definitions, but at the actual data stored in the Post Meta table.

Yes, this is what I though. I have old ACF fields created a year ago. I have no problem to see these 3 meta keys. I am using them for Search & Filter function without any issue. However, the new one I created, I don’t see any of them when selecting post meta from available field under search & filter. I wonder if there is plugin conflict between Search & Filter and ACF?

There is not, no. Many users, including me, use this combination. You did save data on some posts with those fields?
