Hi there – we are using Search and Filter on a woocommerce site.
Wordpress 5.5.3, Woo 4.7.1, S&F Pro 2.5.2
The site has a little over 8,000 products.
All of the filtering menus that we have – and we have a lot – are working great except for categories/taxonomies that have a lot of items. I have tried some combinations and it looks like items with over 1000 results just will not display. I do not know the exact breaking point, but 812 displays fine, when 1202 or more does not display at all so I am making a guess.
It is working in the sense that the menus do reset to show the proper results – if i start with a category with 3900 items, i see the screen refresh and the menus do change to filter it down. It just does not show any products, and it just *looks* to our client/their customers like it didn’t work.
I am wondering – if there is in fact a cap on how many items per category it will show – can that number get edited – or can we show a message or – something – to indicate that yes, something did happen, that they need to narrow your choice further?
I’ve got filters set up on a woocommerce site and on the product post type, I want the associated taxonomy field (product_cat) to only show the current and child items (e.g. animals with 2 children – cat, dog – and each of those animals have multiple items under them – wet food, dry food, specials, etc.) so if you are in the dog category page, you can’t see the cat options.
Any help will be appreciated.
