Hi, i’ve just bought the plugin and set it up on a site i’m working one – built with elementor. I have it almost working though i also have categories setup for manufacturers and the products assigned to it. I was wondering how to get this filtering to work as i can only get all the manufacturers to display, not just the ones related to the category that the user is in, so when one of the checkboxes is selected for manufacturer it displays everything by that manufacturer rather than just the products within the current category.

    Here is the demo site

basically i want it to work like this site –

    Hi,

I have a WooCommerce site where I import products by WP ALL IMPORT PRO and I use S&F to filter products shown in some custom page.

I can import products without any problem but, if I want to make the Search&Filter Pro works properly, I have to save all the product after every import.

Could you please help me to sort this issue out?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

I just set-up a S&F form using shortcodes instead of WooCommerce and that works without issues.

I don’t know if that info might help.

If we don’t find the solution, working with shortcodes might be an alternative.

Are you searching ‘Posts’ or a Custom Post Type? If the latter, did you make the CPT, manually or with a CPT plugin, or was the CPT made by a content plugin, like products is by WooCommerce?

    Hi there

That error message shows, because when you use WooCommerce shop you should only select the post type product and product_variation.

You have selcted 2 post type called Product, but the first one isasf-product which is not a WooCommerce post type, so its throwing the error.

If this is working for you, then by all means ignore it, but just to let you know, non WooCommerce post types in the WC shop are not officially supported.

    Thanks

Yes, it works now! Thank you!

Just one more thing. Is it possible to have two Search Forms using the Display results method WooCommerce Shop? I haven’t tried it yet, but there was an error alert when I created two forms with this display method. I won’t be using them together, they will be in different pages.

In WooCommerce, the SKU is usually a custom field (meta key name is _sku).

The Search & Filter Pro Text Search field uses the standard WordPress search, so looks only in the Post Title AND Content. To help you control this better, on the form’s Advanced settings tab you will see 2 settings for Relevanssi.

The documentation for this is here:

    https://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/relevanssi/

You would need to install and activate the free Relevanssi plugin as well.

Then set Relevanssi up to look at that custom field and then build its index.

    Hi,

Unfortunately that doesn’t solve the problem.

Once you save the filter in one language, the one in the other language is empty. So after you saved the dutch filter was empty.

Now we saved the Dutch filter and the English one is empty again.

We have a hard time figuring out what would be causing this. We don’t do anything special, just standard woocommerce with wpml and some acf fields.

This first ‘Products’ is not WooCommerce products, so I have removed it and saved the form:

ALSO HAVE RESULTS IN HUGE SIZE IF I UNCHECK THIS OPTION “In WooCommerce this will mean the search form also works with your Product Tag and Product Category Archives.” BUT MAKE THE SEARCH OK. IN THIS CASE AFTER RESULT THE LEFT SIDE BAR DISSAPEARS.
