Thanks for the info!
So if I use archive display mode I don’t need to add in that code in the functions.php section to make the search results page look like the Woocommerce CSS like I did back in 1.x right?
Thanks again for the support.
Hey John
In this case you probably just want to use the archive mode then.
The shop mode was just added to work directly on the WooCommerce shop page – so users didn’t have to worry about setting URLs or templates – it makes for a much faster setup.
To use a different URL you do have to use one of the other display methods.
Thanks

In v 1.x I used the archive mode to display s+f and the url’s that were created did not contain /shop/ in the URL.
Now with V 2.x being able to use the Woocommerce display type, /shop/ shows up in the URL but everything else is the same … I have used the previous URLs many times on my site, blog etc. Is there any way to use the Woocommerce display type and remove the /shop/ part from the URL?
Or is the only option to continue using the archive display mode?
Thank you for an awesome plugin!
Hey Patrick
There are a couple of things here to note.
First you must find the correct meta key to use.
Usually ACF creates two fields, one with teh under score _price
and one without price
.
ACF usually stores the value in price
, the underscore version of that usually holds other information about the field but not the values we want to search.
Saying that though, WooCommerce for example will store its prices as _price
– so you need to ensure you using the correct key.
Any easy way to test this to set you meta field to “choice”, set the correct meta key, and then use “auto suggest” – this will bring up the kind of values stored for the field.
Once you are using the correct meta key, then you need to make sure the cache finishes building before attempting to perform any searching/filtering.
Let me know when you’ve done the above and we can move on to the next steps.
Thanks
Hi Leah
Please read the WooCommerce setup instructions I have already given you.
This tells you how to set up WooCommerce categories – you are using regular categories:
http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/woocommerce/#Tags_Categories
Also it looks like you didn’t follow the instruction from the same link:
Next, under the Display Results tab set the Display Results Method to WooCommerce Shop.

Hello Ross, thanks for the reply!
Issue 1 – I didn’t get a notification on my plugin to update it. I’m running some test with wp-pagenavi, but the theme is rather complicated to modify. I’ll see if I can find a way to make it work. Any other suggestions would be great.
About issue 2, I tried playing around with the two tabs but no luck, and I haven’t been able to find anything about pre_get_posts
. Tried creating the taxonomy anew and even tried creating it with a different plugin, but nothing changed. This is a really strange issue and I’m starting to suspect plugin conflict (there are A LOT active on the site). Any more thoughts on it?
Another big issue I ran into was this one. Basically, woocommerce products getting created on the frontend and are visible on site, but the search won’t find them until the S&F form’s cache is manually rebuilt. Is there a function perhaps that I could add into functions.php (or somewhere else) that rebuilds the cache every X minutes? Or every time a product gets submitted? The woocommerce products are submitted frontend via this plugin.
One last question; any chance to get a roughly estimated time issue 3 will be deployed? The current workaround is not the prettiest but I’d like to report a possible time frame to the client 🙂
I’m guessing this is with Ajax enabled?
It sounds like your results container (set in the display results tab) is too broad, and also reloading the whole search form itself.
You should use a different selector which contains only the results to reload rather than a large area.
I think on WooCommerce actually its best to set this to #main
if my memory serves me, but this might not be correct for all setups.
Thanks

Hello,
I’m using Search And Filtering Pro 2.0.3 on a WooCommerce website.
I’m using “WooCommerce Shop” as “Display results method”.
It works fine the first time I use the widget, but if I use the search a second time, then entire page is reinitialized. If I try to use the search again, it works fine the first time one again, but not the second time. And so on and so on…
Any idea of what is happening?
Thanks!
Hi Leah
You need to look under the admin menu “MyStile” and then WooCommerce – not the other way round – I checked yesterday and this is definitely the right way.
Thanks

Where do I go to configure the settings? I looked under woocommerce and mystyle and didn’t see anything that was listed on http://www.designsandcode.com/documentation/search-filter-pro/3rd-party/woocommerce/
I have a submit and reset button set up on the home page (not the right page)- I would like it to go on the products page only.
