Hello,
First of all, I am using search & filter pro with elementor + your elementor plugin in order to create a search page in which you can find food recipes. Everything is working fine, but I need help with something.
This is how my search & filter form looks like
https://prnt.sc/uae2dl
Mealtime, Allergies and Diet are custom taxonomies and here is what I want to achieve but don’t know how yet.
I want to be able to exclude/hide recipes from the results when I click an allergy
Is it possible to do that with search & filter pro and if yes, can you help me or give me instructions about how to do it?
Looking forward to your reply
Hi there
Yes we added support for Anywhere Elementor in the beta of our Elementor Extension, you can try it here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MQLQAQEGxncAHLEN-p5wxdnEl-ZYofEI/view?usp=sharing
You set it up just the same as the other Elementor widgets, by following the instructions here: https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/#posts-portfolio-product-widgets
So in “Post Type” dropdown, you will see “Search & Filter Query”, you must also set S&F display method to “Elementor Post / Product / Portfolio Widget” as per the docs.
Please let me know if that works out ok for you?
Thanks

Hi,
First form for me. I use “Display results method: Elementor Post/….”.
If I choose “search”, the filter works fine.
If I choose “post meta”, select “dropdown” and my “meta key” and click on “Is ACF Field?”, I have 3 errors (notice) on my log:
Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/search-filter-pro/public/includes/fields/post_meta_choice.php on line 374
And same error line 393 and 416.
My dropdown displays 2 lines:
– “all item”
– field_xxxxxxxxx (3).
What is the problem ?
Configuration :
S&F : 2.5.1
Elementor : 3.0.5
Elementor Pro : 3.0.2
ACF : 5.9.0
Thanks a lot.
Is the search in the nav bar a theme (type) search? If it is, (parts of) this post may help:

Ideally then, you need two custom taxonomies:
Beverage Type, with these terms in it:
Beer
Cider
Cooler
Spirit
Wine
And a Beverage Sub Type that has the other terms in it.
This post might be able to guide and help you:

Are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?
If you are seeking to have two form fields based on different parent/child term groups from a single taxonomy source, this will not work in one of our forms. You may need two separate custom taxonomies. This post explain more:

Hi there
When I create a form with a dropdown for categories, a dropdown element appears but there are not categories showing. I am using Elementor Pro, and I have tried it with Ajax turned on and off. Do you have an idea what i’m doing wrong?
thanks

Hi there,
same issue on my side…
Search Filter Pro is no longer compatible with anywhere elementor pro.
Big problem for the directory websites I’m working on.
Any alternative to Anywhere Elementor Pro then?
Thanks,
Olivier
Each field you want in your form (manufacturer; model number; description and category) would need to be separate custom taxonomies OR (as a preference) the first three as custom fields. WooCommerce already comes with two custom taxonomies; Product Categories (which you mention) and Product tags. The others you would need to make, with a plugin like Custom Post Type UI (if you want them as taxonomies, but, unless you have already entered the data terms, I would not) or Advanced Custom Fields to make custom fields. Custom Fields are more flexible that taxonomies.
