Hi – I just downloaded the Pro version. I built three new taxonomies using the WCK plugin, then created a Search&Filter Pro search form and pasted the form’s shortcode [searchandfilter id=”182″] into a post, but nothing appears in the preview. I also selected the form as a widget in the sidebar for posts. Again, nothing appeared (except the title). Any idea what I’m doing wrong? TIA.
Ross Moderator(Private) January 28, 2016 at 10:35 pm #35647Hmmm not sure it should show up.
Can you enable WP_DEBUG and tell me if there are any errors?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) January 29, 2016 at 3:18 pm #35709Hi David
What was the issue? I’ve had another user report an issue like this so that info might help.
RE layout, not sure, do you have link?
Thanks

You asked about the invisible search – turns out I’d not actually created the search form because I hadn’t dragged the right sections into place on the form builder. Duh.
Ross Moderator(Private) January 29, 2016 at 6:35 pm #35739Ah ok!
I just had a look.
The positioning thing cannot be altered by S&F.
The heading “SELECT”, is part of the widget area of your theme, something completely out of control of S&F.
Therefor you need to modify your theme to get this to display differently.
I’m guessing any widget you place there, with a heading, will also appear half way down the page.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) January 30, 2016 at 12:42 pm #35805I’m trying to get the shortcode to work in a column. I notice other people have had similar issues with other shortcode, and one diagnosis is shown below. Is there an easy way to fix or workaround this? TIA
Column shortcode doesn’t seem to process the content through the do_shortcode function after processing it with its own changes. I added a single line to the plugin file, and it worked.
Look for this in columns.php:
$content = str_replace( ‘class=”column column-number-‘ . $count, ‘class=”column column-number-‘ . $count . ‘ last’, $content );
and add the following directly after:
$content = do_shortcode( $content );
Anonymous(Private) February 1, 2016 at 9:16 am #35880OK, this one has floored me completely.
I created a S&F form, set it to shortcode, created a results page, and it all worked fine. The form could be loaded in the page edits and used on the front end.
Then I had to change the form, so I created a new one and deleted the old one (and emptied the bin) and deployed the new form to the S&R widget, replacing the previous one.
The new form shows up fine on the front end of the page – all the categories are there and the submit button returns a search. But when I try to edit a page that previously had the old form on, or create a new page, the old form is still there. So I can’t fill the new form with values.
I’ve tried opening everything in a different browser, so it’s not a caching issue.
Any idea what’s going on, and how I can fix it?
Ross Moderator(Private) February 2, 2016 at 12:31 pm #36026So what you are saying is, a search form that has been completely deleted is still loading somehow?
Sounds very odd indeed, in fact, impossible :/
