    Hello there,

    I’m trying to translate the “Select an Option” text that appears by default with a combobox field. I’m using Loco Translate but that string isn’t in the .pot file, also I can’t find a related option in the field settings.

    I’ve taken a look at this topic https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/translation-of-all-terms-not-working/ but I’m not planning to use WPML. Any advice?

    If you are using the Chosen script (set in our plugin options page) please note that it is effectively obsolete, and does not work well with modern IOS devices. We will be switching by default to Select2 for our next major release, and this is already available as an option in those plugin settings (Combobox option). I would suggest switching to that, as it is maintained by a team within WordPress.

    I am not sure if this will then give you a method to translate that string.

    I’ve changed the script to Select2 and the string doesn’t appear anymore, it shows only the available options, so that will do the trick.
