I had filtering working on http://www.chargeupcollaborative.org/ for type of assistance and then location. You can see the two drop downs. I made adjustments on the assistance types and redid the filtering. I didn’t make any changes to the locations. The assistance type is filtering but it is not working for location. The locations all come up as ‘none found’ even though there should be plenty of results.
This was working previously. It did not work so I upgraded to 1.4.1 for the plugin but still no luck. As a test, I have all the options checked for ‘Maryland Non Profits’ and it won’t show up.
I’ve checked it all multiple times – custom fields settings, field name, member fields checked and the search and filter setup.
Ross Moderator(Private) March 23, 2015 at 7:48 am #13828Hi Andrew
I’m having trouble following you… You mention
I had filtering working on
and –
This was working previously.
But then you say:
It did not work so I upgraded to 1.4.1 for the plugin but still no luck
Can you clarify what is going on?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) March 23, 2015 at 1:16 pm #13841Sorry. It not working. It has 2 filters and the top one works but the bottom one doesn’t. The bottom one for locations returns no results when there should be.
These are checkboxes and you mentioned in another support answer about serialized data and a fix. Does that fix apply to this? https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/two-post-meta-filters-not-giving-result/
The filtering was working previously.
BTW, emails are bouncing back when I try to reply.
Ross Moderator(Private) March 23, 2015 at 2:17 pm #13844What email address are you trying to reply to?
You must look at what changed for it to stop working – ie what action caused it to stop working – did you change a setting perhaps (ie in the “post meta” tab, or “tags, categories & taxonomies” tab) or did you install another plugin?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) March 23, 2015 at 2:47 pm #13845I’m just replying to posts and getting a bounce back.
I made no changes on plugins. Just, added new custom field and then new filter. The new field works fine in the filter (top assistance type), the location field was in place already and then just stopped working.
Why would top filter work but not the 2nd one?
Ross Moderator(Private) March 23, 2015 at 3:04 pm #13846Hey Andrew
What is the email address you are replying to? I know you mention you are replying to posts, but what is the email address you see that it tries to reply to?
Can you send me screenshots of the content of the “post meta” tab and “tags, categories and taxonomies” tab?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) March 23, 2015 at 3:22 pm #13847My bad on the email. I was using my phone and assumed I could reply to carry on the conversation but it is: [email protected]
I’ll have to send screen shots tonight. Any thoughts on what is needed so I can try to troubleshoot this evening?
Thanks.
Ross Moderator(Private) March 23, 2015 at 10:12 pm #13872Hey Andrew
At this stage I just want to check that nothing is setup to alter your results – ie a misconfiguration.
Aside from this I would do the usual things such as disabling other plugins to see if there are conflicts.
Linking back round to your earlier post – do you know if your meta data is serialised? How are you adding this meta data to you posts?
Thanks
