Search not working(Private) April 28, 2016 at 7:50 am #44197Hi
I think it may be because the URL slug in the form settings is missing the trailing
/
. This is what I see when I do your suggested search:http://tkc.jaywolfelabs.com/cars-for-sale?_sf_s=T161022
And this is what it is supposed to be:
http://tkc.jaywolfelabs.com/cars-for-sale/?_sf_s=T161022

How to place filters, search box, and submit button all in 1 line(Private) April 27, 2016 at 6:57 pm #44157Trevor Moderator in reply to:
Age range filters based on Date of Birth?(Private) April 27, 2016 at 6:54 pm #44156Ah, and you come to an age old problem of computers versus common sense. So, dates are NOT stored as dates in databases. They are stored as days. Typically 1st January 1900 = 1 and so on.
Try it in Excel. Enter 01/01/1900 into a cell and hit enter. It will get formatted as a date. Now go format the cell as a number (select the cell and press ctrl + 1 and find the number tab and select the data type, I think).
So, subtracting one date from another gives you an answer in days.
E.g. 01/01/1901 – 01/01/1900 = 365, right?
What does 01/01/1905 – 01/01/1904 = ? 366 and so you see the problem.
It gets hideously complex to write code to work out age in years based on a DOB. Way beyond what we would wish to put in right now. Imagine the CPU hit that the server would take if there were a lot of records to get through?

Filter Parameters in url(Private) April 27, 2016 at 6:45 pm #44155It should have a ? in there, but no, the plugin MUST have those. We will work towards a version that doesn’t need them, but for now it does. Is there not a maintain search form state option in the form settings? Is that in use?

Control Default Display(Private) April 27, 2016 at 6:08 pm #44148I am not privy to what is ‘coming’. I know Ross is working on a new release, but he has another project to finish first.
