S&F cache hanging(Private) October 21, 2020 at 2:26 pm #263635Hi Trevor,
Just to keep you in the loop of this I confirmed with the hosting team that The SQL Server is not set to Truncate queries, so that shouldn’t be our issue.
Atm we are hoping with the settings and tweaks made this won’t happen again, fingers and toes crossed hehe! But if it does we are going to try our best to trace a pattern and also check the database as you describe above so we can see what’s happening at that level too.
Thanks again for your help and support as always, and hopefully you won’t hear back from me again on this :).
Tonya

S&F cache hanging(Private) October 16, 2020 at 9:54 am #263116Hi Trevor,
Thanks ever so much for this, really helpful, I’ve now updated that as you suggest, and I also changed cache to fast (I’m checking with our server team that that is ok with them too), as I feel the faster it caches the less chance it has of hanging…?
Now, the super interesting thing her is that you say that the form might only fully rebuild it’s cache when critical changes are made to a form.
BUT what seems to be happening is we are making no changes to the form set-up, and the results stop being accurate, and on one occasion when we checked that’s when we’ve seen the form cache at 90% hung, we then click to re-build the cache and it then fixes it. Now I am not saying that is always the case on the hung cache build, but what definitely keeps happening is the results keep being impacted, where it will miss off some taxonomy terms from the filter lists, when they do in fact exist and they do have people allocated against them (and not new taxonomy terms either, like they just ‘drop off’). And all we are aware of as to changing being made, is our client is probably adding/editing/removing people, etc. which is the post type this form filters.
Any other ideas at all, and/or do you think your original feedback will remedy the above anyway? It’s just so strange and as our client is so so annoyed at this point we want to just try and do all we can to get this fixed.
Thanks so much as always,
