Include Children in Parents not working on Category(Private) August 6, 2015 at 2:53 pm #22821I did some digging and it looks like the post has to expressly be “checked” for both the parent, sub-category AND the sub-sub-category for it to be shown. It simply cannot exist underneath in it’s sub or sub-sub-category. That is your bug I think.
Any chance you can confirm and provide a quick fix?

Include Children in Parents not working on Category(Private) August 5, 2015 at 12:44 pm #22752Okay…this is a deal breaker for search results and using category in the search. Any ETA on 2.0?

Search completely not working in Pro(Private) August 5, 2015 at 10:28 am #22729Yes, that is the page. I found it actually. It looks like the Page Attributes Template was set to Blog. I set the Template option to Default Template and it is working terrific. **Can you please remove the link to my URL above? I do not want it to p/u in Google results please**.
I have a few other kinks but that seems to have done the trick with this issue. Good luck on the new version, you’ve got a great product and I’m looking forward to continuing to use your company for this and other plugins.
Thanks.

Exclude Categories(Private) March 8, 2015 at 1:15 pm #13059I click on the little eyeglass and choose for example Articles main category which happens to have subcategories. I tried selecting just Articles and Articles and a few Subcategories and it ignored both scenarios and still included them in the dropdown.

Exclude Categories(Private) March 7, 2015 at 1:15 pm #13021I actually LOVE the multi-select option so it’s not really a problem for me at this point. I do find the auto-complete to not be very “smart” LOL. I’m assuming you are using jQuery for that aspect…maybe some configuration options on how the auto-complete performs searches on the Category if possible?
Feel free to mark this as resolved, I’m good to go.

Exclude Categories(Private) March 7, 2015 at 10:07 am #13002Found the problem, I have NO IDEA how to fix it…when I choose the Hierarchical checkbox in the Category option while using it as a Dropdown it ignores Excludes.
I found a work-around by allow multi-select option but that really is not desirable. Any chance you can provide a fix to this pretty fast?

Exclude Categories(Private) March 6, 2015 at 7:02 pm #12968Okay, I upgraded to 1.4.1 but I don’t think this addresses my problem as I am seeing the same problem in that it is ignoring my request to omit certain catgories. I also did not see this as a bug references as fixed in the readme? What am I missing?

Exclude Categories(Private) March 6, 2015 at 10:13 am #12938Okay, I am new to the purchase of the Pro plugin so I have no idea of how to receive updates or where to download them. If you could reply back with how that is usually done that would be great. Thanks much.

Exclude Categories(Private) March 5, 2015 at 8:33 am #12852Also, quick update while waiting to hear from you guys. I’ve disabled all but the Search & Filter Pro plugin active and also made the 2015 theme active and am getting the same result.
