Unable to update to v. 2.5.2

    Hello,

I’ve got the new version of your plugin installed, installed WP 5.5.3, and the issue that first alerted me to a problem is resolved. Thanks for all your help.

    Peace,

    Dave

I’ve got 2.5.2 saved to my HD. If you can tell me that none of the work you did a couple of years ago will be lost, I’m okay with deactivating, deleting, and reinstalling.

    I’m currently using WordPress 5.4.4

This is really confusing to me. I’m not clear on what you’re asking me to do. I can say that the option to Remove all data when deleting Search & Filter in unchecked. You made some changes in my admin area to make something work that wasn’t working when I first installed this plugin. I don’t remember any details anymore, but part of it involved switching taxonomies. The plugin you installed for that, Taxonomy Switcher is still installed. I’m worried all that work might be lost if I do something wrong.

I don’t see where it tells me the version; I’ll keep looking. A 2nd level tech at WPEngine reverted WP back to an earlier version until S&FP is updated. There is a conflict between the newest version of WP and v. 2.4.5 of your plugin that was causing a lot of errors. It’s why I reached out to them in the first place; they had just updated my WP the day before.

Thanks for the responses. I think adding that to the plugins page is a good idea.

When I added the key, the link to install the new version was back on my plugins page. However, when I tried to update, I got this error: “Update failed: Download failed. Unauthorized”. https://gyazo.com/565632da1722edbb640a535cfb77595d I refreshed the page and tried again, same thing.

As you are aware, I have paid for the subscription, though there was never anything on my Plugins page that said I need to. I had to navigate to your site, figure out where things are and what I needed to do to pay for a subscription I didn’t even know I had. This is the only plugin I’ve seen nothing about a subscription renewal on that plugins page. Can you imagine doing that for every plugin that your website uses?

That said, hours after paying, I still can’t update it, Clever Trevor. Yeah, I remember a lot.

Are you sure I have a subscription? I don’t recall having paid an annual subscription fee for this in the past.

Customer option to display only in-stock product

No such luck. I’d need the categories to filter the product. I don’t have to drill down as far as I thought I would, though. I can do it in the quick edit window.

I wanted to thank you again for your help in this and to let you know that if I haven’t already figured out how to do it, this topic can be closed.

    Hi, Trevor;

It’s not going to work with that plugin. I need to find something else. The problem, according to that developer, is that the majority of my products aren’t in categories at all. He said that WooCommerce requires categories. When I create a new product page, that’s been my experience also.

I don’t know how to assign all those unassigned products to categories except manually, one at a time, and that makes me crazy to consider how big a pain it is to do that for even just one. It appears, though, that until this has been resolved so that every product is assigned a category, there’s a strong possibility that I’m going to run into this situation again and again.

I know that the data on the website can be downloaded as a text file, manipulated in a database or spreadsheet, and uploaded again. Is this a possibility to resolve this situation?

    Peace,

    Dave
