    Hi Trevor, thanks for getting back to me.

    I think displaying the true number of results is a definate addition that needs to be made to the plugin, its a basic and fundamental part of search results. Please can you let me know when something is sorted for this? Or let me know how I can find out?

    I notice there is a working post counter on the demo here:

    how was that acheieved?

    Hi, I thought I would update this thread with the solution I have found:

    … adding this adds a numeric ‘post view counter’ in the custom fields.

    this can then be selected as:
    Sort By:
    Meta Value > Meta Value Key > wpb_track_post_views (Sort type: numeric)

    this works a treat. Make sure to visit the pages/posts though as the numeric data doesnt kick into the pages/ posts until they are viewed at least once and results in a 0 display result if they have never been viewed since implmenting the page count!

    thanks for the quick reply, this makes sense and worked! Hopefully I will just be able to hide the search text from the filter with css.

    Hi, I want my sort order to be ordered by popularity. The more popular the post the higher up it appears…

    Hi, thanks for your response, I set up a new form and it worked as I expected, it must have been something in the other search I setup, not sure what but a new one sorted the issue.
